STUDENT ACCESSIBILITY CENTER (02043G)Duties and Responsibilities:Oversees the day-to-day testing operations and accommodation for students with disabilities for the Student Accessibility Center at three campuses: Lake Shore Campus, Water Tower Campus, and Health Sciences Campus.Works with Director to develop and update services, policies, and procedures for testing operations and case management technology platform (Symplicity Accommodate).Trains, mentors, schedules and directs the work of proctors, graduate student workers, and final exam staff volunteers.Oversees all final exam week logistics including room reservations, materials, communications to students, faculty, volunteers, and Accommodate set-up.Receives and schedules exam, test, and quiz requests through Accommodate, while maintaining security of tests and materials and the academic integrity of the testing operation.Works closely with Accessibility Specialists to ensure students receive proper accommodations during assessments.Responsible for overall compliance and academic integrity of the Testing Center in conjunction with SAC staff.Reviews exam, test, or quiz requests for scheduling and administration purposes.Utilizes Accommodate to secure tests and collect instructions for test administration or contacts faculty when additional information is needed.Confirms testing instructions, materials allowed, accommodations, and disposition of completed exams.Responds to faculty and staff inquiries regarding accommodated exams, tests, and quizzes.Is able to use and assist students with assistive technology such as JAWS, Kurzweil, Dragon Naturally Speaking, etc. during exams.Documents and collects statistical data and prepares detailed reports regarding exam, test, or quiz activity and administration.Earns certification to proctor specialized testing as needed.Provides excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff.Participates in university-wide and in Student Academic Services signature programs, events, and activities.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum Education and/or Work Experience:

Degree in Education, Social Work, Counseling, or related field and one to two years of related work experience required; combination of comparable work and education experiences may be considered.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and one-to-two years of related work experience required.Strong organizational skills and effective verbal and written communication skills required.Must be self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and work cooperatively in a team environment.Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, sound judgment, and ability to maintain confidentiality.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with faculty/staff and students with care and professionalism.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Certificates/Credentials/Licenses:
