The Software Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and identifying improvements by planning, implementing, and monitoring software framework solutions.Tasks and Responsibilities
Execute product specification, system design, development and system integrationDevelop new product concepts and development, deliver product prototypesConduct new technology research, concept specification and design of individual software componentsParticipate in product and program collaborationRefactor implementations to standardize on an event driven architectureRefactor web application and services to be completely stateless and cloud readyMaintain, configure and improve integration with COTS platformsTroubleshoot and fix problems and provide root cause analysis in a timely mannerComplete other tasks as requiredMinimum Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experienceMinimum Experience
3+ years in Java 1.8+ development role1+ years of experience working with Apache Camel, Kafka,ElasticSearchor similar systemsStrong knowledge of object-oriented programmingStrong knowledge of web service models: SOAP, OData, RESTStrong knowledge of GITStrong knowledge of Apache MavenExperience with using SQL Server as a backend preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of object-oriented programmingSolid understanding of Web Development: HTML5 and Angular JS or similar JavaScript librariesKnowledge of web service models: SOAP, OData, RESTKnowledge of Javascript and JQueryExperience with 3rd party Javascript libraries such as Angular JS, Knockout JS, JQueryUI, or similar preferredExperience with using SQL Server as a backend preferredExperience with TFS and Git preferredSolid understanding of testing principles, methodologies, tools, and processesStrong written and verbal communications skillsExcellent organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritize workloadPhysical Demands and Work Environment
