Software Development Engineer V (Frontend) - Developer Portal
who will be pivotal in shaping the business's interactions with ID.me and over 100 million members. This team is tasked with managing the business onboarding lifecycle, policies, analytics, and billing. Your work with the team has direct engagement with members through their accounts, enhancing user satisfaction and trust. Additionally, your role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of member data and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards through diligent data management.This role sits in Mountain View, CA, and requires onsite presence 5 days per week.Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain efficient, interactive, and responsive user interfaces for our customers.Deliver complex features with minimal oversight and provide guidance to team members on their deliverables.Guide team members, product managers, and stakeholders to solve problems and build optimal solutions for customer needs.Switch between maintaining and refactoring old code and writing new services.Demonstrate mastery of object-oriented programming languages, tools, and technologies.Solve complex technical problems with varying degrees of ambiguity.Act as a mentor to junior developers through code reviews and document critiques.Own and ship features end-to-end, including thorough automated test coverage, observability, monitoring, and documentation.Ship small and medium features with minimal guidance and collaborate on larger projects.Translate UX/UI design wireframes into actual code.Define application functionality and appearance, optimizing for scalability, maintainability, and speed.Qualifications
8+ years of front-end development experience, including experience with server-side rendering.Solid understanding of web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, object-oriented design, REST-based APIs, and Git.Strong understanding of querying techniques and optimizations on relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.Experience with B2C/B2B applications, particularly user onboarding and dashboards.Exposure to deploying features using A/B testing strategies and interpreting results.Experience building systems in a containerized, cloud-based, infrastructure as code ecosystem.Experience with GCP or other cloud platforms.Preferred Qualifications
Obsession with building quality products.Able to thrive with changing priorities.Strong oral and written communication skills, and a self-managing work ethic.Passionate about software engineering, learning, and continuous improvement.Experience with React, Typescript, Web Components, and Ruby on Rails.Startup experience.This role requires on-site presence 5 days per week, based in Mountain View, CA.
