Senior DevOps Engineer
based in
Birmingham, UK.A successful Senior DevOps Engineer will provide expertise to lead in implementing and managing robust and scalable infrastructure solutions within a global SaaS environment, currently in GCP but not limited to GCP. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be a hands-on professional with a strong understanding of cloud technologies, containerization, and infrastructure as code. Accountable for platform monitoring, management and maintenance as well as project related activities to optimise and upgrade for future growth. You will tackle complex challenges, contributing to the development of reliable and efficient systems designed for large-scale usage, while demonstrating insight and enthusiasm and a commitment to advancing best practices in DevOps.Ricoh transforms organisations, using innovative technologies and services enabling you as an individual to work smarter. Provide expertise to lead infrastructure discussions and implementation across all areas of the platforms.Interpret requirements and contribute to the design and deployment of scalable infrastructure solutions.Responsible for both design and delivery of cloud-based infrastructure and application solutions.Responsible for providing leadership and direction for infrastructure security practices.Create, maintain, build, and deploy effective automation solutions for infrastructure management.Ensure well-tested, reliable, and secure infrastructure practices and deployments.Manage server-side and cloud-based features within the infrastructure environment.Contribute to CI/CD pipeline design and practices, ensuring smooth integration and deployment processes.Lead process changes to enable automation across infrastructure management.Establish and maintain best practice DevOps standards and procedures.Manage and maintain source control for infrastructure code and configuration.Conduct peer reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure adherence to best practices.Line management responsibility for DevOps engineers.Mentor engineers to support a cross-functional technical delivery team.Work accurately within time constraints, delivering solutions that meet the requirements for time, cost, and quality.Apply structured problem-solving techniques to effectively resolve infrastructure-related issues.Take responsibility for improving the team’s delivery processes and enhancing overall team velocity.Support delivery within an Agile framework, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.Contribute to the refinement of the infrastructure and deployment backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals.You will ideally have
