The purpose of this position is to plan, implement, manage, and advise robotics, IIoT, and data engineering required for programs and research projects associated with the Advanced Structures and Composites Center (ASCC). The position’s responsibilities will be to bridge robotic hardware and software concerns, manage new initiatives in robotics and data collection, as well as facilitate interactions with University of Maine faculty, students, and external partners.

here .Qualifications:Required:M.S. in related Engineering field with five or more years of relevant professional experience.Significant professional experience in some of the following areas required: advanced composites, finite element modeling, engineering design, advanced mechanics of materials.Significant experience in some of the following areas: robotics, IIoT, manufacturing automation, software engineering, 3D Printing, image processing, CAD/CAM, and computer science.Excellent oral and written communications skills.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and constant deadlines.Demonstrated ability to interact with industry members, peers, and constituents.Preferred:Ph.D. in related Engineering field.EIT License.Experience working in an academic research environment.Other Information:To be considered for this position you will need to “Apply” and upload the documentation listed below:1.) a cover letter which describes your experience, interests, and suitability for the position2.) a resume/curriculum vitaeCandidates selected to proceed to the final stages of the search process will be requested to provide a list of names and contact information for references.Incomplete application materials cannot be considered.
