Principal Engineer
who is comfortable working with a team of engineers in an agile environment on our systems integration and development efforts for an eCommerce company that processes thousands of sales daily and hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue per year.What You'll Do:In this role, you will contribute to our ongoing decomposition efforts to move from monolithic applications to microservices. You will also contribute to our efforts to move toward asynchronous, event-driven architectures.You’ll work in a collaborative culture of innovators who make decisions promptly backed by data in a modern development environment. You’ll have the support of a highly talented team of developers and stakeholders on the same mission: to help Rue Gilt Groupe remain a global leader in our industry while being exposed to the latest cloud technologies.Work in one of the hottest markets today, E-commerceYou’ll get a chance to contribute meaningfully across our portfolio of servicesThe ability to work on large scale applications with cloud native solutionsAbout You:Bachelor’s Degree desired, but not required5+ years of relevant software development experienceExperience setting the bar for documentation, coding standards, and testingA working knowledge of Agile/ScrumExperience with Microservices and Containerization (a must-have!)Experience with C#, .Net technologies in a fast-paced production environmentExperience with cloud computing platforms like AWS or AzureExperience with relational databases (ex: Oracle, MySQL) – NoSQL a plusExperience with concurrency, multi-threading, and event-driven architecturesExperience and familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous DeliveryFluency in EnglishOutstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholder while working in a collaborative team environmentAbout the Retail Systems Engineering Team:The Retail Systems Engineering Team is an extremely impactful team that works in a collaborative, iterative agile environment. We believe in providing the best possible experience we can with a technology focused culture that not only tries to lift the bar on features every sprint, but also stability and performance.Expected Base Salary Range: 95,000 - 105,000Rue Gilt Groupe is committed to providing Associates with equal pay for equal work and carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to, prior experience, education, certification(s), license(s), skills and expertise, location, internal equity, and other factors that are job related and consistent with business need. Our goal is to support, reward and compensate the entire individual. Depending on role eligibility, your offer may also include bonus/commission, stock options, 401(k) participation, paid time off, medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance.
