SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Automate and optimize service deploymentsIntegrate with enterprise authentication servicesEstablish and improve system monitoring while maintaining established security protocols within development, test, and production systems.Build, test, and maintain custom Helm Charts using Gitlab and ArgoCDBuild, test, and maintain custom OpenShift OperatorsMaintain and improve existing build and deployment processes using Gitlab CI/CD pipelines to create complex ci-templates and custom runners.Apply configuration management disciplines to maintain container software revisions, security patches, hardening, and documentationCreate FIPS compliant and hardened custom container images using UBI9-minimal and UBI9-micro base images.Maintain up-to-date documentation of designs/configurations, ensuring team members have continuity of recurring tasksCreate and determine required metrics for dashboards and service healthFollow up on engineering tasks for operational solutions and validate completionWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Required Skills:
8+ years and Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience3+ years of Kubernetes experience, preferably with OpenShift3+ years of experience building custom container images and platformsStrong understanding of DevOps and software/application development processes3+ years of experience building GitLab CI/CD pipelines to build, scan, and deploy custom container images3+ years of experience using Helm and GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux to manage application deployment and state within Kubernetes from GitlabUnderstanding of Python, Bash, or other scripting languages to automate buildsKnowledge of the Operator Framework and how operators are deployedStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsMust possess excellent time management skills and the drive to work unsupervisedExperience with deploying to on-prem/data center infrastructureExperience using Jira and Confluence on a daily basisActive TS/SCI clearance required and eligibility to obtain a CI polyExperience in building custom operators with the operator-sdkExperience developing Kubernetes Custom Resource Definitions (CRD) or APIs
