We focus on finding engineers whose personalities lead them to excellence, and we provide exceptional opportunities for our employees.About the Role :CMTA has an immediate need for an experienced Senior Construction Administrator to join our diverse team of engineering professionals in the Richmond, VA office. This position will be responsible for managing project specifications and overseeing contract and construction documents. This is a full-time, in-office position with working hours Monday through Friday, offering opportunities for professional growth within the organization.Required Experience :Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction administration within the Architectural, Engineering, or Construction field.Knowledgeable of CSI MasterFormat; CDT Certification is a plus.Experience with MasterSpec, VisiSpec, SpecLink, or other spec editing platforms.Proficiency with Adobe/Bluebeam and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.Proficiency with Electronic Document Management Systems such as Newforma and Procore.Qualifications:Thorough understanding of the processes involved in project specifications (schematics through 100% construction specifications), including coordination with Design Review Agencies, Addenda, Bidding Processes, Shop Drawing Reviews, RFIs, Construction Administration, Change Orders, Pay Applications, and Closeout Documentation.Demonstrated capability in coordinating with multiple design team members to produce and deliver quality specifications and construction documents.High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to listen and understand internal customer expectations.Ability to manage schedules to meet critical deadlines.Responsibilities:Participate in the creation and maintenance of specification masters.Oversee the development of project specifications involving multiple design team members.Review, format, and edit project specifications.Provide office-wide support for all specification needs.Coordinate specification templates, formats, and schedules with clients.Oversee bid document production and schedules for “Prime” projects.Ensure compliance with project contract language, current code requirements, and current manufacturer information.Distribute and coordinate design documents with state and local review agencies.Assist with construction administration document processing activities, including shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, pay applications, and closeout documents.Perform technical editing of deliverables, including proofreading and working with technical staff to edit documents for format, clarity, consistency, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.Maintain and update electronic construction plan sets.Assist with maintaining project schedules and logs.Communicate clearly and effectively with both internal staff and external clients regarding project inquiries or procedures/requirements.Provide general office support as part of the administrative team.No sponsorship available for this position.Health and Welfare BenefitsHealth and WelfareMedicalVisionEmployee assistance programPersonal BenefitsPaid vacationCompany-paid holidaysSick leave401(k) retirement savings planCompany-paid long-term disability insuranceAD&D insuranceLife insuranceAbout LegenceLegence, a Blackstone portfolio company, is an Energy Transition Accelerator that provides advisory services and implementation focused on financing, designing, building, and servicing complex systems in mission-critical and high performance facilities.
