For this role, we are open to remote work and can hire anywhere in Mexico.About the opportunityReporting to the Development Manager, the Software Developer in Test is primarily responsible for ensuring the quality of deliverables throughout the agile development lifecycle. This is a technical role requiring excellent coding skills and a thorough understanding of coding practices.As a Software Developer in Test, you will collaborate with all stakeholders to create high-quality test automation tools and solutions to drive the highest product quality. By working closely with our QA Analysts, Business Analysts, and Developers, you will understand the design, implementation, and focus on complex scenarios aimed at delivering quality code to our large user base. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing innovator in a technically challenging and rewarding role. Aside from growing your technical skills, you will also develop deep technical expertise and gain valuable business and industry-related experience.What you'll get to doActively participate in continuous quality improvements for the product and processes with both automated and manual testing.Design and develop strategic automated tests with a focus on code readability and maintainability.Analyze test results, investigate, report, and track product failures and improve the areas with higher defect trends.Grow your technical skills through continuous learning and test automation initiatives; find ways to break the code and prevent issues.Ensure traceability between product requirements, delivered code, and test case verification; become a product expert in functional and technical knowledge in all areas.Skills and experience we valueDegree in Computer Science or related field.Experience and knowledge in Object Oriented Programming using C# or Java.Solid experience creating and maintaining test scripts using BDD/TDD automation frameworks, such as FitNesse, SpecFlow, Cucumber, RSpec, Playwright, Cypress.Solid experience with Selenium Webdriver (not Selenium IDE).Excellent understanding of the principles of writing testable code.Proficiency with SQL and an understanding of relational database systems.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work in a team setting with minimal supervision.Experience working in an Agile development environment and understanding the role of QA; inquisitive attitude.Good knowledge of Internet technologies.Experience with performance testing is a plus.What’s in it for youDayforce is fueled by the diversity of our talented employees.
