Position Summary:
The Audiovisual (AV) Services Manager will oversee all in-house AV services provided for both internal and external guests. This position will require in-depth knowledge of audiovisual infrastructure, as well as superior guest service skills. This position builds strong, collaborative working relationships with internal and external customers. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage all aspects of audiovisual services at ilani.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Promotes superior guest service.
Maintains and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.
Manages AV Services team who will work collaboratively to produce events and meetings in our meeting spaces.
Oversees audiovisual services equipment and collaborates closely with other aspects of AV and leadership to ensure equipment is always in good working condition.
Recommends capital projects and works with department leadership to ensure needs are being met.
Participates in annual budget and responds to budget variances and overtime justification.
Working with leadership, develop long term strategy and capacity planning for enterprise audiovisual needs.
Works with organizational leadership to establish and enforce audiovisual policies.
Facilitates cross-department collaboration to ensure all departments agree with service offerings, new equipment installations and ongoing improvements.
Troubleshoots audiovisual issues with team members and ensures that incidents are escalated and communicated to everyone impacted in a timely manner.
Collaborates with vendors and holds vendors accountable to managed service agreements and ensures system adds and changes are tested and completed accurately.
Writes procedural and training documentation and trains team members.
Operates lift and rigs equipment with a strong focus on safety.
Ensure all team members have attended appropriate safety training on lifting, operating lifts, and rigging equipment.
Works closely with sales team to ensure guest needs are met.
Schedules team to ensure AV presence for all functions.
Works with guests to ensure meetings and events go smoothly.
In keeping with our core values, finds ways to “blow away” our guests and make meetings and events amazing.
Maintains inventory of all AV assets.
Works with management, peers, and vendors to design and implement solutions for audiovisual throughout the property.
Works with management, peers, and vendors to provide ongoing monitoring, performance tuning, implementation, and root cause analysis for systems.
Creation and maintenance of troubleshooting and operational documentation for systems. Authors and peer-reviews documentation.
Provides and receives cross-discipline training in order to ensure maximum availability of systems and equipment.
Carries and responds to off-hours communications device, in order to provide 24x7 support for services.
Actively pursues opportunities as an individual and as part of a group to improve knowledge, tools, and processes for systems under management.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Technology and four (4) years of progressive audiovisual specialized experience.
Working knowledge of responsibilities in position description.
OR
Associate degree in Audiovisual Technology or related field and six (6) years of progressive audiovisual specialized experience.
Working knowledge of responsibilities in position description.
OR
High School Diploma or GED and eight (8) years of progressive audiovisual specialized experience.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in an audiovisual environment.
Two (2) years’ demonstrated experience working with Q-SYS.
Demonstrated experience setting and executing AV Meeting and Event spaces.
Minimum of two (2) years as an audiovisual lead or audiovisual leadership role.
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
Communicates effectively verbally, and in written form.
Demonstrated knowledge of AMX or Crestron.
Experience in audiovisual production lighting, video, or sound.
Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.
Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Dante certification

Pay Range:
$83,034.00 - $91,337.40
