As a Sr. Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a TS/SCI cleared Sr. Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer joining our team to support our intelligence customer in Springfield, VA.The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for working with a highly functional development team automating service deployments; optimizing system performance; integrating with enterprise authentication services; establishing/improving system monitoring; maintaining established security protocols; and providing customers technical support. The Cloud Engineer will be integrated with an agile environment participating in scrums and other meetings.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Build and Maintain Platform as a Service Offering using RedHat OpenShiftWork with A&A Team to maintain security requirements for operation of systemsMaintain and improve existing infrastructure (build out autoscaling, support new services, optimize for cost efficiencies/authentication/search, etc.)Produce detailed documentationMaintain System in AWS environment using EC2, S3, ELB, and RDSMaintain System in a VMware vSphere environment, using NSX, and NetApp StorageGRIDAutomate and optimize service deploymentsRequired Skills:
Prior experience building and maintaining Platform as a Service offerings via Cloud-based providersStrong understanding of RHEL/CentOS Linux distributionsStrong understanding of RedHat OpenShift and/or other Kubernetes distributionsExperience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)Strong knowledge of Amazon Web ServicesStrong Troubleshooting skillsExperience in automating tasks using scripted languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or PerlFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum methodologyFamiliarity with DevOps development processes and Continuous Integration tools: GitLab, Jenkins, NexusStrong communication skillsDesired Skills:
Experience administering production RedHat OpenShift clustersStrong understanding of cloud APIs and interaction with the AWS/CLIExposure to Infrastructure as Code such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Salt, or TerraformExperience working with one or more Python, Ruby, or JavaExperience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware)Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Markdown, and portal developmentDesired Certifications:
