Rite-Solutions, Inc. is seeking a

Senior DevOps Engineer

to support on-site at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division. You will be part of a team of experts charged with providing support in the areas of cyber analysis and cyber development capabilities in response to Navy's and DoD's needs for Cyber Situational Awareness (SA), Cyber Command and Control (C2), Mission Assurance, and Homeland Defense. Program scope includes identifying cyber key terrain by analyzing operational requirements, conducting cyber analyses and assessments, and developing and performing modeling and simulation in support of different cyber threat scenarios.

Program support includes developing methodology and framework in support of cyber risk assessment life cycle. Our team will provide capabilities to support the customer with rapid design, development, test, deployment, maintenance and operation of specific software and hardware capabilities to meet current Cyber Defensive needs. Senior DevOps Engineer

on this program, you will be tasked with implementing new features within a critical line of business application that support mission assurance and operational management functions. You will have the opportunity to work and grow your expertise with a team of software engineering and cyber security experts working to tackle the cyber defense issues of the modern military with creative and innovative solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

Design and build components encompassing network, security, identity, governance, development, and operations in Customer's environments.

Designing, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documenting application features and changes.

Establish and implement architectural framework for development efforts.

Operationalize solutions from proof-of-concept through production using automation for repeatability, maintainability, and to enforce standards beginning with automated testing progressing through the Dev/Ops pipeline to automated deployment.

Participating in performance, load, and stress testing, and remediation of issues identified.

Participating in security architecture reviews of large enterprise systems.

Participating in the development of new systems throughout the entire application lifecycle: requirements analysis & definition, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and sustainment.

Provide insight into and knowledge of the latest DevOps, technology, solutions, industry trends, and best practices.

Provide insight into and knowledge of the latest virtualized and cloud, technology, solutions, industry trends, and best practices.

Recommend and if approved use emerging tools and methodologies to automate existing processes and design new virtualized and cloud-based infrastructures based on infrastructure as code mindset; script and deploy infrastructure components.

Reviewing and assessing existing enterprise applications, to support new features, performance improvements, upgrades, and ongoing sustainment.

Working from requirements specifications to develop or modify software applications.

Working in an agile team environment participating in sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews, and daily standups.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

U.S. Citizenship and active DoD SECRET clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.

DoDD 8140.01 Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I certification or higher.

Certification as either a Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or an AWS Professional (Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer), or as a GCP Professional (Cloud Architect or Cloud DevOps). AWS Certification highly preferred.

Experience designing, implementing, supporting, and analyzing enterprise scale applications using the following technologies: .NET, Angular, Typescript, JavaScript, C#, and SQL Server.

Proficiency with modern development toolsets including Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, git, unit testing frameworks, and task tracking such as GitLab.

Experience designing, implementing, supporting, and analyzing enterprise scale applications that perform extract/transform/load (ETL) operations with external data sources and SQL Server.

Familiarity with distributed version control tools such as git and mercurial.

Comprehensive knowledge in definition and management of software requirements, design, code, benchmark testing, debugging, software development lifecycle, architecture, and documentation.

Experience with and proficient with at least one of the following Object-oriented programming (OOP) languages: C, Java, or Python.

Ten (10) years of experience in the above listed areas.

Five (5) or more years of experience in Agile software development and microservice architecture specifically in the following technology areas: C#, Angular, TypeScript, SQL Server or other relational databases.

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

Experience working in federated architectures including:

Synchronization of data between system instances.

Services operating in a different modes depending on connectivity.

Services being able to operate independently when necessary.

Five (5) or more years of experience doing infrastructure solution architecture.

Three (3) or more years of experience building cloud architecture with AWS, Azure or GCP.

Experience working on custom development software projects.

Experience working with DoD customers.

Experience working on cybersecurity projects.

Additional experience in the following technology areas is preferred:

GitLab.

Elasticsearch.

Continuous Integration / Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipeline.

Entity Framework.

Rabbit MQ.

Kubernetes and Docker.

Automated Testing tools and processes used to support various testing requirements including data, UI, load/performance, security, and contract testing.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
