Monday - Friday, business hoursJob Location:About the NC State College of Education:As one of the nation’s top-ranked public colleges of education, NC State’s College of Education leads the way in North Carolina in preparing extraordinary educators, conducting transformational research, and engaging communities to improve educational outcomes and advance the greater good.About the College of Education Information Technology (EdIT):The College of Education Information Technology department (EdIT) supports and maintains the technological infrastructure of the College in coordination with appropriate campus entities.Position Overview:The IT Implementation Specialist provides all tiers of IT support to NC State College of Education and Department of Psychology customers. This includes desk side, phone, and occasional remote user support for all enterprise-related software and systems.Responsibilities:Provide technical consultations on installation and maintenance for Apple and Windows systems.Develop and support computing environments for college faculty, staff, and students.Use endpoint management tools to configure devices and troubleshoot issues.Plan, communicate, test, and implement system upgrades and policy rollouts.Gather client needs and propose innovative solutions to ensure client satisfaction.Collaborate with other IT groups to support the College of Education constituency.Qualifications:Minimum Education and Experience:Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline and 5-7 years of experience providing IT support
ORBachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience providing IT support
ORAn equivalent combination of training and experience.Other Required Qualifications:Excellent customer service skills.Strong support experience with configuration management technologies and tools (specifically JAMF, Active Directory, and System Center Configuration Manager).Strong usage and support experience with Google Enterprise Workspace.Strong knowledge of Mac OS and iOS desktop support.Substantial support knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 desktop and Office support.Ability to engage and master new skills quickly.Ability to provide creative solutions to complex problems.Experience implementing and supporting specialty hardware and software applications.Preferred Qualifications:JAMF Certified.Experience with Windows Deployment Services.Experience with data security and storage.License(s) or Certification(s):Valid NC Driver's License required.Application Instructions:Applicant required documents: Cover Letter, Resume, and Contact Information for at least three Professional References.NC State University is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
