SecretRequisition: 2024.36.3.18.03.58The Cybersecurity Specialist will work and report directly with the Systems Engineering Site Lead, making recommendations to stakeholders to conduct Cybersecurity and Department of Defense (DoD) Risk Management Framework (RMF) assessments. This includes scanning networks with ACAS and Nessus, supporting the Change Control Board (CCB), validating RMF controls, updating POAMs, and preparing Assessment & Authorization (A&A) packages. They will validate Information Assurance controls against DOD policy standards found in 8500.2 and SP800-53 documentation, which include continuity of operations, backup recovery, and physical and virtual environments.Job Description:Provide Cybersecurity support including development, writing, and reviewing A&A documentation per DOD RMF and NIST. Perform the duties of Navy Validator for accreditation submissions and assist other sites on these duties when required. Evaluate and test information systems and networks to determine compliance with cybersecurity requirements. Assist users with Cybersecurity related issues, providing support as needed including auditing, contingency planning, awareness training, and risk assessments.Qualifications:At least 6 years of experience with mission critical procedures, systems, and processes as they pertain to the command’s Information Technology and Cyber Security requirements. Experience in certifying and accrediting DON information systems and networks, as well as Platform IT.Education:B.S. in Cybersecurity or related field is preferred.Certifications:IAT Level III, CISSP or (Associate), CASP+CE, CCNP Security, CISA, GCED, GCIH, or CCEPRegistered (NQV) Navy ValidatorSelected candidates must possess at least a
SECRET CLEARANCE.
