Description and RequirementsAbout Our Team
We are hiring a
System Integrity Architect
to work in Lenovo's Cloud Service Provider Group (CSP). This is a fast-paced customer-centric organization that will adapt to changing market demands to serve customer needs. We're the only company with true end-to-end capabilities for even the most unique solution. Our CSP solutions are designed, built and deployed worldwide - all in-house.
This role will be responsible to lead the enabling and verifying Printed Circuit Board (PCB) hardware and layout designs and drive resolution of SI/PI challenges in collaboration with the design engineer, PCB designer, and system teams.
What You'll Do
Perform SI simulation during new server/storage/GPU system concepts
Define and develop design methodologies to improve design quality and productivity
Support the signal integrity design for various server boards
Research PCB materials and evaluate PCB stackups
Perform PCB layout reviews
Create actionable recommendations based upon design reviews
Guide connector design and component qualifications from a signal integrity standpoint
Collaborate with the system architect to determine the best routing design to meet the various requirements and ensure a solid performing design
Research in new technology and trend that would impact the system SI
Basic Qualifications
BSEE or BSCE degree required
10+ years experience
Experience with simulation tools, such as Sigrity, Hyperlynx SI/PI, ADS, and HSPICE is necessary
Must have experience with HFSS, ADS, Cadence SI/PI suite, and Hspice. ADS is the key tool for SERDES channel simulation.
HFSS is for Via/Connectors modeling.
Cadence is for PI simulation.
Preferred Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering is a plus
Hyperscale/Cloud experience
Experience in direct customer engagements
Experience with 3D EM Field Solvers is preferred
Knowledge with PCB fabrication process is a plus
Experience correlating simulation results with lab measurements.
Experience with SERDES simulation is a big plus
Ability to understand customer requirements; interpret these requirements and convert them into a competitive CSP platform portfolio
Deep knowledge of X86 Intel/AMD server architecture
Ability to interface with Lenovo and customer executives
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead teams and have the ability to make decisions
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Ability to work effectively cross-culturally across teams in the US and Asia
