Eaton’s Power Systems Division is currently seeking a Lead Application Engineer to join our team. This position is hybrid based at our Waukesha, WI facility.The expected annual salary range for this role is $91,500.03 - $134,200.04 a year.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:

The primary function of the Lead Application Engineer is to provide product engineering support to the marketing team for both internal and external customers and support for all voltage regulator marketing initiatives. The candidate will support Latin America along with other domestic regions.Perform detailed specification reviews to identify and address:Customer requirementsFit to Eaton’s Power Systems Division product scope.Features and accessories required for pricing program.Areas for exception or clarification for the customerLead-timesAlternates for a more competitive offeringSpecial test, customer test/witness, or customer inspection requirementsSpecial documentation and reportingProvide production application training to Inside Sales Reps, Sales Agents/Reps and CustomersServe as a key customer liaison for all technical product support matters, including specification clarifications, test requirements, and product support.Provide pricing strategy to Product Specialists based on established guidelines while utilizing competitive feedback and customer/market knowledge.Support strategic marketing and new product development initiatives (NPD) through development and collection of Voice of Customer (VOC) data, analysis of product/application trends, and assessment of new product market potential.Develop and deliver product support and marketing communications including technical presentations, training seminars, promotional materials, and research and/or white papers for publication and presentation at conferences.Attend strategic industry meetings, trade shows, and visit key customers to improve the business. Establish and maintain strong professional and interpersonal relationships with customers. Cultivate relationships with vital customers and understand customer needs.Acts as a liaison between engineering, marketing, scheduling, and customers.Learn and understand applicable industry standards i.e., ANSI, IEEE, CSA, NEMA for transformers.Provide plant tours as needed.Visit customer/agent sites as needed.Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Business discipline from an accredited institution (required)Minimum of four (4) years of experience in technical marketing, engineering, or manufacturing (may include internships or co-ops)No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of Waukesha, WI will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.Preferred Qualifications:Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degreeAbility to speak and write Spanish fluently. Bilingual in Spanish and English; at a minimum, the ability to understand and to make oneself understood in Spanish.Minimum of 1 year of experience using ERP and quotation systems.Skills:Knowledge of electric power voltage regulators and their components and accessories.Knowledge of typical applications, equipment, systems, and standards for electric power voltage regulators.Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, problem solving and decision-making skills to support internal and external contacts within a multi-cultured environment.Detail oriented, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and work to deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.Proficient using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), SAP or other ERP related system and the ability to utilize such tools to analyze data and solve routine problems.Must be very customer and commercial centric.We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
