Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) was created with the purpose of providing integrated enterprise IT support to Federal customers both CONUS and OCONUS. CARS employs Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with decades of experience working in the Federal marketplace.
The
Sr. Cloud Engineer
will assist with the development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of critical systems.
Responsibilities:
The primary duties will be to lead the program's multi-cloud DevOps capability spanning AWS cloud environments, including the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
Transition CI/CD pipelines from Jenkins to GitLab utilizing automated testing and deployment techniques.
Maintain PaaS frameworks and Tanzu environments, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and cloud optimization.
Create and maintain DevOps documentation.
Maintain user-friendly dashboards displaying program metrics.
Generate ad-hoc data analysis reports for management and customer.
Drive business intelligence initiatives and data-driven innovations.
Once DevOps pipelines are mature, team member will have the opportunity to contribute to other development and configuration management activities.
We encourage DevOps candidates to also highlight Development, Database Admin, and any Configuration Management experience.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline and 8+ years of prior relevant experience OR
Master’s degree with 6+ years of prior relevant experience OR
10+ years of experience in the following in lieu of a degree:
Proficient in software development projects or software integration projects in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services) or virtualization environment.
Experience with NGA OpenShift.
Proficient in AWS/Cloud technologies.
Experience with AWS across many Gov Cloud environments:
EC2s
CORE
GovCloud
PaaS
Active TS/SCI clearance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting.
Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals.
Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications.
Experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills and a professional demeanor.
Previous customer service experience strongly desired.
Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
