Starting hourly rate may be negotiable based on experience and qualifications.The Vermont Veterans' Home (VVH) in Bennington is looking for an organized individual to join the team as a VVH Institutional Custodial Supervisor. This is a leadership position within the Custodial/Housekeeping/Laundry Department at the VVH, a skilled nursing facility. This position is a working supervisor, with direct supervision of up to nineteen employees, which consists of two Senior custodial workers and seventeen custodial and laundry workers. Duties will include working in laundry and custodial, planning, supervisory and evaluation of work and personnel, inventory, addressing employee concerns and submitting a daily report to the Director. At times, you will have to reassign staff during an assigned shift. The ability to work cooperatively is essential.The schedule will be Monday through Friday, 6am to 2:30pm (this may be negotiable). The position will include working occasionally on the weekend and/or a holiday if necessary due to operating needs of the facility.VVH is an experienced residential and healthcare campus for Veterans. Occasional off-grounds travel may be required for which private means of transportation must be available.Incumbent must be able to work outside in all types of weather. Good physical condition and ability to climb ladders and lift/carry equipment is required.Minimum Qualifications
