Overview

The Project Engineer will assist directly with the daily management, supervision, coordination, and successful completion of the project(s) to safely meet time and cost objectives with respect to contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration functions. In this position, the Project Engineer will learn how to take skills he or she may have acquired in school and/or during internships or other related work and apply them in a professional construction setting.Location & Travel Details: This is a traveling position, up to 90% of the time, encompassing work sites in the assigned project area, covering a 90 mile radius, and will include some overnight travel.Company OverviewCome join the Cash Construction team! Responsibilities

Promote and comply with all Company safety policies and proceduresContract professional services; schedule and coordinateDevelop Construction DocumentsIdentify and coordinate the submittals of all documentsReview construction documents and prepare bid list to ensure all work items are accounted for and manage the bid processCoordinate team for takeoff and bid assembly assignmentsAttend pre-construction and job meetingsReview construction documents to ensure compliance with Owner’s contractInitiate, review and obtain Owner’s approval on construction documentsReview the submittal and approval process of the monthly application with the OwnerEstablish and manage a construction and engineering schedule to include: construction documents; permits, submittals and approvals; construction activityObtain shop drawings from all subs; complete review and approvalConfer with Director of EH & S on any jobsite safety issuesManage and resolve or assist superintendents in resolving all conflicts such as failure of subcontractors to perform failure of materials to arrive contract disputes and trade conflictsInterface with field superintendents to maintain an open line of communication and reporting monitor job progress, schedules and subcontractor performance and coordinate the operation of the field through management of field personnelReview the project and determine acceptability of completed work on an ongoing basisInspect the work and establish the final punch listMaintain extra work authorization log, identifying items and their resolutionsReview General Conditions cost on a monthly basisReview subcontractor’s application for payment based on percent complete and approve or adjustImplement and maintain benchmark and inspection documentationObtain and track installed quantities and materials and compare budgetObtain and compile quality control documentationManage and supervise your team’s Superintendents by giving ongoing performance feedback and conducting annual performance appraisals in a timely manner

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesTake reasonable care of your own and others health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Cash’s Zero Injury principlesProficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Primavera, Timberline, and Construction Software Ability to read, analyze and interpret blueprints, professional journals, technical procedures, contracts, or governmental regulations Write reports, business correspondence and document project activitiesEffectively present information and respond to questions from project managers, superintendents, clients, customers and the general public Effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directorsCalculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometrySolve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situationsInterpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form Willingness and ability to travel to job sites 60% of the timeWork Environment:
