Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive.Roles & ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a passionate Senior Machine Learning engineer to support, build and scale the personalization and search platforms for the global streaming app Max as well as ongoing and future streaming initiatives. You are excited about working in a fast-moving environment that fosters engineering and operational excellence with continuous development, deployment, experimentation, quality assurance, and collaboration. You will bring an obsession with our customers along with skills for rapid feature iteration. In your role, you will be working in a team of passionate machine learning engineers and applied science researchers contributing to a system that serves 100+ million users worldwide.Contribute to architecting, building and scaling a recommendation system that powers a state-of-the-art personalization experience to users across Max, Discovery+ and other WBD offerings.Contribute on building machine learning systems and operations for personalization.Collaborate with applied data science engineers to improve quality, stability, resilience of search and personalization platforms.Drive observability, scalability, cost-optimization, and performance tuning and other improvements to recommendations services and models.Collaborate with platform, content, user data and product partners as Max expands to new markets around the globe.Author, test, review, and optimize production-level code in Java, Go and Python while executing best practices in version control and code integration.Motivate, inspire and create a culture of experimentation and data-driven innovation while constantly advocating for doing what is right for our customers.Contribute technical documentation to support project planning, operational excellence, and knowledge sharing.What To Bring5+ years of industry experience.University degree (B.S. or M.S.) or equivalent industry experience in software engineering, computer science, machine learning or related fields.3+ years of distributed systems engineering with a large scale customer base.3+ years of experience contributing to machine learning driven systems.Practical knowledge in modern machine learning lifecycle.Knowledge of large-scale distributed application architecture, design, implementation and performance tuning.Strong architectural and design skills.3+ years of programming experience in Java.Excellent written and verbal communications skills, be comfortable to contribute to technical documentation and on-call support.Experience with one of the cloud platforms AWS/GCP/Azure.Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins etc.Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.Familiarity with agile practices and processes.Familiarity with search engine technology, such as ElasticSearch/OpenSearch.Familiarity with data analytics platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.Preferred:Hands-on experience with a machine learning platform.Working experience with global teams.Programming experience in Java.Data modeling experience.Championing Inclusion at WBDWarner Bros.
