Job Summary:A leading global footwear and retail company is looking for someone to develop, document, and drive foundational data governance work aimed at ensuring appropriate consumption of product data across the company, including the following work focuses:
Informing and educating business partners of their role in governing the data managed by their teamsInfluencing the identification of functional SMEs/resources to support metadata build work, and then holding those SMEs accountable to aiding in the development of accurate business-metadataDocumenting and publishing critical business-metadata to ensure that data is appropriately maintained, accessed and applied across this companyCollaborating with business and technology partners to ensure that metadata is documented and accessible in the Enterprise data catalogWhat the work looks like:
A typical day/week involves initiating direct engagements with data governance and business partners in this company's product area as the contractor leads the effort to define and secure product data in ways that meet business needs while balancing quality, risk and cost. The contractor will document their processes and track their progress to share with leaders. They will organize the information gathered and orchestrate its publication in this company's metadata management tool.
Location: BEAVERTON, OregonJob Type: ContractSalary: $40.00 - 46.60 per hourWork Hours: 8am to 4pmEducation: No Degree Required
