The Software Infrastructure group is seeking a
Senior Principal Infrastructure Platform Architect
to ensure the successful delivery of a Modernized Private Cloud Infrastructure for one of our premier programs on our Aurora, CO campus. As the Senior Principal Platform Architect, you will be part of a multi-disciplined team developing, integrating, and deploying a modernized platform infrastructure.
The role's core responsibility revolves around architecting a platform that is consistent, scalable, efficient, and reduces overall program deployment times. You will be on a team responsible for development and operational environments providing the enterprise hybrid-cloud backbone for product development and testing for a large program.
Note:
This position is an onsite role located in Aurora, CO.
What You Will Do:
Collaborate cross-functionally, building, and refining solutions that align with tech standards, timelines, and budgets
Investigate and present technology solutions to improve performance
Design and implement automation and orchestration solutions
Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement of existing solutions
Coordinate with the team to incorporate Cyber based solutions
Collaborate across teams to define requirements and dependencies
Coordinate needs and priorities specific to implementations with Technical and Program Management
Ensure infrastructure implementations are in accordance with contract requirements
Ensure compliance with the program’s discrepancy/problem reporting and review process
Use Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) concepts and processes to design and develop solutions
Leverage company and industry best practices to architect, develop and implement modern platform solutions
Break down complex ideas into easy-to-understand tasks.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required.
Typically requires bachelor’s degree in STEM and ten (10+) years of systems engineering experience
Experience designing, implementing, and integrating platform infrastructure services on Linux based Operating Systems
Experience with containerization using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker
Experience with implementing an on-prem cloud in VMware
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience working in a technical environment interfacing with systems or software engineering disciplines
Experience with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) concepts
Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CICD Pipelines tools (E.g. Jira, Confluence, Jenkins)
Experience with automation frameworks such as Chef, Puppet, and Ansible
Knowledge of secure coding practices such as OWASP, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate technical and project information clearly
Experience with scanning tools (E.g. Nessus, Fortify)
Multi-disciplined infrastructure experience with compute, networks, storage, and virtualization
Experience developing, testing & delivering applications within a DevSecOps framework
Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration
Ability to obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) poly for Privilege User Access
Current CompTIA Security + or ability to obtain within 90 days
