About the RoleAs a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead a team of Software Engineers, providing expertise. You will guide project plans, schedules, and methodologies, while also coding complex systems.
Responsibilities
Serving as the initial point of escalation for software development issues within specific area of responsibility
Interfacing with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements
Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity
Completing complex bug fixes
Working closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs
Implementing development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews
Operating in various development environments (Agile, Kanban, etc) while collaborating with key stakeholders
Mentoring and/or training entry-level software engineers as directed by department management
Requirements
Have extensive experience in Software Engineering, consistently delivering successful outcomes over an extended period.
Have a BS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience
Be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of software development methodologies
Be able to partner and lead internal and external technology resources in solving complex business needs
Be proficient in test-driven development
Be skilled in designing and working with complex data models
Be experienced in using and developing applicable tool sets
Be capable of managing and encouraging new ideas from staff to foster improvements through innovations
