We are seeking a detail-oriented
Architectural Drafter
to join our team. The Architectural Drafter will be responsible for converting designs, sketches, and verbal instructions from architects and engineers into precise and accurate technical drawings. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of drafting standards, building codes, and software proficiency to create detailed architectural plans that align with project requirements and timelines.Key Responsibilities
Produce detailed architectural drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) based on specifications from architects and engineers.Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project scope and design objectives.Create layouts, plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings.Revise drawings based on client or design team feedback.Ensure all drawings comply with applicable building codes, zoning laws, and regulations.Assist in the preparation of project documentation and permit applications.Coordinate with external consultants and contractors when necessary.Maintain accurate records of drawings and revisions.Conduct site visits to gather measurements or verify dimensions, as needed.Minimum Requirements
Education: Associate’s degree or certification in drafting, architecture, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in architectural drafting or a similar role.Technical Skills:Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) is a plus.Strong understanding of architectural design principles and building systems.Knowledge of local building codes, zoning laws, and construction practices.Key Competencies:Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawing production.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Effective communication and teamwork abilities.Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
