Project Engineer

POSITION SUMMARYA Fortune 500 global ingredient manufacturer is looking to bring on a Project/Process Engineer at their manufacturing site in the Sioux City region. This position plays a key role in driving improvements by developing a thorough understanding of sanitary equipment, systems, and the factors influencing their performance. This role focuses on identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes that strategically lower manufacturing costs, enhance productivity, and reduce waste.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and mitigating incidentsAnalyze processes and recommend changes or capital pojects to improve efficiency, quality, and facility longevityDesign and implement capital projects on time and within budgetDrive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, performance, and overall operational efficiencyProvide technical support for safety, health, environment, and quality improvements, collaborating with relevant teamsQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in chemical engineering (preferred) or related field2+ years of experience in process engineering and project managementPrior experience working in a heavily regulated manufacturing environmentAbility to work collaboratively across various departments and functions
