Material Handler I
In this job you will fill orders, move materials between cells/departments, check identification for quantities and part numbers, and perform inventory transactions in the business system.
As an Material Handler I you will:Unload, move and store a variety of materials, parts, or products Conduct Bin Maintenance as neededUnload incoming materials, check identification for quantities and part Numbers, report shortages or damaged material, move to storage areasMove materials between cells, following routing, delivery tickets or ordersFill orders from storage areas and warehouse stock and deliver to designated cellsOperate hand truck to move materials and stack loaded palletsLoad outgoing trucks using a hand truck or pallet jackRelease and maintain the status of Kanbans and report on late ordersAccurately perform inventory transactions in the G&W business systemPerform cycle counts as requestedMaintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsConserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job resultsContribute to team effort by training others in the performance of material handler tasks as neededInspect all work prior to passing it on to the next operationDocument actions by completing production and quality forms
We are looking for someone who:Has a High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill developmentIdeally has 0-1 years of experience working in a manufacturing environmentMust be able to safely use pallet jacks and other manual moving equipmentMust be able to read and interpret Bills of MaterialMust have basic to intermediate computer skillsHas the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others to support the manufacturing processesIdeally has previous warehouse or manufacturing experience
The physical demands of the job are:Work is classified as Medium - Heavy Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational TitlesFrequencies - Occasional (1-33%); Frequent (34-66%); Continuous (67-100%)Lifting Demands:
Lift up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis floor to waist with assistanceLift up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis floor to waistCarry up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis up to 25 feetPush/Pull up to 40 pounds on a frequent basisPush/Pull more than 40 pounds on an occasional basis with assistance

Pay Range is typically between $20 - $22 per hour
