Overview
Dunmore Comprehensive Treatment Centers (CTC) of Pennsylvania, is actively recruiting a Part-Time APP for our adult outpatient MAT program in Dunmore. 20 hours per week, 6:30 until 2:30, can works two consecutive days, very flexible, Sat hours if desired. Compensation is very competitive.
The APP will assist the Physician with leadership, quality assurance, oversight and overall medical management of the clinic. Responsibilities include planning, organizing medical and clinical practices; providing direct patient care and assisting other departments with direct interactions with physicians or medical staff.Serves in a teaching capacity for the training and development of other personnel. Responsible for securing physical exam and history from the patient, reviewing medical records, making medical evaluations, request appropriate diagnostic testing, prescribes medications and treatments, assists in the management of behavioral or mental health problems of patients, maintains current medical records in accordance with federal or state regulation, and clinic or corporate policies and procedures; and,Prefer previous experience in behavioral health or substance abuse treatmentNo history of alcohol or drug misuse for a period of three years before employment

Responsibilities
Summary:
* Provides initial and annual history and physical evaluation, assesses eligibility for treatment, evaluates patients' history of dependence on opioids;* Orders appropriate laboratory studies, reviews laboratory results and provides necessary education, referral and / or follow up services to patients;* Monitors the treatment plans of high risk patients.* Prescribes medication for the treatment of substance abuse according to patient need as allowed by state regulation;* Consults and collaborates with Medical Director to plan and implement care according to Nurse Practitioner Guidelines;* Reports and documents significant patient issues and adverse events;* Communicates pertinent information to appropriate members of the health care team;* Collaborates with Nurse Supervisor to optimize quality and efficiency;* Ensures that the program and employees' transactions and activities are in full compliance with all laws and clinic legal compliance program policies and standards of conduct; and,* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
* Board Certified Nurse Practitioner.* Minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing nurse practitioner preferred.* Previous experience in behavioral health or substance use (SUD) treatment is preferred.* No history of alcohol or drug misuse for three years before employment.
Licenses/Certification:
* Board Certified Nurse Practitioner.* Licensed to practice in the state in which the clinic operates.* DEA license.
