As a nurse at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, you will be responsible for the overall supervision and management of our Hemodialysis (HD) patients working alongside Fresenius HD RN's, LPN's certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technicians in the inpatient setting on P2.

**What you will do:**
+ Knowledge of caring for a Hemodialysis Patient
+ Assuring that appropriate screening is done pre-dialysis
+ Assessment, documentation, medication, and blood product administration, management of the unstable patient, initiation of emergency responses and access of central lines if necessary, including CVAD dressing changes
+ Management of HD patient census
+ Obtain consent if not on general consent
+ Communicating with the providers and ensuring orders are active
+ Receiving hand off report from the floor RN's and then performing hand off report to the floor RN's post treatment
+ Coordinating patients getting to the dialysis unit and assist with transportation as necessary
+ Quality nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the New York Nurse Practice Act, National Standards of Practice, and Nursing and Clinical Service standards of care and practice.
**What you will need:**
+ A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York (or plan to obtain if recent/future graduate).
+ ASN required, BSN preferred.
+ BLS Certification.
+ Effective verbal and written communication.
**Pay Range:**
$36.50 - $49.95
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
