Our FP&A team owns end-to-end financial planning, reporting, and strategic support for senior leadership.Key job responsibilitiesWe seek a Finance Manager to join the Amazon Pharmacy FP&A team and lead Pharmacy Finance through critical financial reporting processes. This role will have full P&L exposure, collaborating with the business to surface financial insights that influence strategic decision-making at the senior leadership level. The right candidate will have a passion for financial storytelling, continuous innovation, and developing best practices to improve financial reporting capabilities.A day in the life• Lead the Pharmacy Finance team through month-end close and reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting• Partner with business and finance teams to conduct variance analysis against financial plans. Ensure that discrepancies are explained to support informed decision-making• Craft financial narratives for senior and executive leadership to offer a meaningful and actionable view of financial performance• Create and implement best practices in financial bridging and storytelling to raise the standard of how financial data is communicated• Seek opportunities to automate and simplify financial reporting tools, creating efficiencies in financial processes and enabling better decision support• Collaborate with Accounting and Financial Operations (FinOps) teams to ensure financial reporting is accurate, adheres to controls, and maintains the highest level of integrity• Own ad-hoc financial analyses, providing data support and financial insights to business teams and finance leadership to support strategic initiatives• Understand key financial drivers and metrics to provide critical input into strategic decision-making and financial planning processesBasic Qualifications- 8+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- Bachelor's DegreePreferred Qualifications- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience- 3+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MSAccess, Essbase or Cognos) and providing recommendations based on results of ad hoc analyses to management for strategic decision-makingAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
