Duties and Responsibilities1. * Provides professional administrative support for the daily operations of the Campus Resource and Service Center (CRSC), and independently handles routine to moderate tasks.2. * Works closely with CRSC staff and campus units to gather, verify, and provide consistent and accurate information to constituents.3. * Assists with the review, analysis and preparation of administrative, fiscal and personnel related documents. Exercises appropriateness and propriety, identifies problem areas and resolves discrepancies.4. * Services customers in a positive, professional, and timely manner.5. * Assist to address concerns and issues expressed by individuals within the University community and general public, and assist with problem-solving through collaboration and communication to determine appropriate action or response.6. * Assists with operations including but not limited to supervising assigned student assistants, establishing and determining office procedures, scheduling appointments, greeting and screening visitors.7. * Determines disposition of incoming correspondence and mail, prepares documents, develops and maintains an effective filing system, etc.8. * Assists and coordinates support services for the Director, having extensive contact with individuals such as senior management, faculty, staff and colleagues from institutions, agencies and the community.9. * Ensures compliance with applicable laws, rules, policies, procedures and practices. Assists CRSC staff to keep abreast of new policies, and applicable changes to protocol in a timely manner.10. * Assists the Director with professional work including writing/drafting reports, research & analyses of information, and careful & thoughtful planning and coordination of efforts & details.11. * Assists with planning and facilitating meetings with appropriate parties to accomplish goals & objectives12. * Assists in developing & implementing action plans, including the promotional and print needs of the office.13. * Works closely with the CRSC staff to provide high level of customer service.14. * Fosters effective working relationships with campus departments and the community.15. Keeps abreast of University news, events, and national trends for the office.16. * Assists to prepare and coordinate responses to customer requests, including but not limited to e-mail or other electronic means to meet their needs and resolve issues.17. * Assist with identifying frequent and repetitive inquiries to the office to determine any underlying issues that may exist.18. * Assist with the organization of outreach efforts to inform and educate the University community on the services provided by CRSC.19. Minimum Qualifications1. Possession of a baccalaureate degree in business administration, communication, or related field and 1 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for customer service, business administration, human resource administration, communication, public relations, and/or related field; or equivalent education/training or experience.2. Functional knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in business administration or related field demonstrated by knowledge, understanding and ability to apply concepts, terminology.3. Functional knowledge and understanding of principles, theories, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and systems associated with business administration or related field.4. Demonstrated ability to recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve the full range problems that may commonly occur in the area of business administration or related field.5. Demonstrated ability to understand oral and written documentation, write reports and procedures, and communicate effectively in a variety of situations.6. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team members and individuals.7. Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software.8. Any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.9. Demonstrated ability to establish and identify priorities and organize resources.10. Demonstrated ability to effectively resolve issues in a collaborative and professional manner.11. Experience providing high level of customer service.12. Demonstrated ability to develop creative options and solutions to problems.13.
