Responsibilities
Reviews floor plan and reservation book daily; creates seating chartSets up the Host station according to company and manager standardsGreets guests and seats them at tables or in waiting areasSeats guests according to seating chart, server rotation and guest preference and provides guests with menusMaintains control of the seating and wait timesClears unnecessary glassware and extra place settings as guests are seatedCleans and maintains Host station; contributes to the cleanliness of the dining and bar areasInspects dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setupAnswers any guest questions regarding service, and provides general assistance for guests and employeesThanks guests as they are leaving according to company GuestPath Service StandardsAnswers restaurant telephone line during assigned hours of operationAbility to enter and prepare to-go orders placed via telephone including the capability of relaying descriptions of menu items to guestsAssists as needed with general cleaning, removing and emptying garbage, bussing tables, and re-stocking supplies and food productPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsMust be at least 16 years oldMust be available to work daytime shiftsPrior experience in a guest service environment preferredAbility to maintain a high energy level in a fast paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to effectively communicate with guests and team membersPhysical Requirements
Ability to remain on feet for entire length of shift, includes walking up and down stairsAbility to maneuver between tables and around cornersFrequent walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and stretchingAbility to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to read seating chart and communicate with guestsShift Details
