Position Overview:

The

Credit Risk Officer II

reports to the VP, Credit Risk Officer III of the Credit Risk Management team and is responsible for assisting the Credit Risk Officer III in the management of the loan portfolio, with primary focus on construction loans. Working with the Credit Risk Management team, management, lenders, and Operations team members, this position is primarily responsible for helping to adjudicate and service the existing construction related loan portfolio, comprised of real estate construction loans, pre-development loans, tax credit bridge loans, and solar construction loans. This position manages the Commercial Construction Loan Administrator.

Requirements

Construction Loan Management

-The Credit Risk Officer II will oversee and monitor the construction related portion of the portfolio with responsibilities to include, but not limited to, pre-closing review, ongoing disbursements, and project tracking. The Credit Risk Officer II will present monthly reports to the Credit Risk Officer III and Chief Credit Officer.

Appraisal and Environmental Management

- The Credit Risk Officer II will oversee and monitor the ordering and reviewing of appraisals and environmental reports to include ensuring that the approved appraiser list is current.

Loan Approvals

- In conjunction with the Credit Risk Officer III will serve as a key person responsible for working with lending officers on structuring new loan requests. The Credit Risk Officer II will support the Credit Risk Officer III and Chief Credit Officer with any required workflows in preparation of the weekly Officer's Loan Review Committee.

Special Assets

- In conjunction with the Credit Risk Officer III, The Credit Risk Officer II will assist with managing loans in the Special Asset portfolio.

Compliance

- Ensure knowledge and compliance with the organization's Credit Policy and regulatory compliance standards.

Qualifications:

Experience/Education/CertificationsA minimum of 5-7 years relevant work experience in a credit risk management function to include commercial real estate and commercial and industrial lending.Knowledge and demonstrated experience in construction loan management including appraisal review and federal regulations governing appraisal management.Knowledge and demonstrated experience in environmental studies review.Ability to apply previous banking experience and knowledge to a unique business model.Computer/Technology:

Excellent Word, Excel, and Windows file management skills mandatoryStrong technical experience with Salesforce or other CRM toolsDemonstrated web research skillsFamiliarity with Outlook or similar network-based email and calendar softwareExtensive computer usage and Microsoft Teams communicationMust be able to work independently in a stable remote environment, if necessaryCommunication:

For fully remote status, Locus prefers applicants from East Coast states where business relationships have already been established; they include Virginia, New York, Florida, New Jersey, West Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. Considerations may be given to candidates from other established states such as Nebraska, Colorado, Montana, Kansas, Tennessee, and Missouri.
