Position Summary

A Training & Devt Specialist/On-Call Trainer conductseducational/training needs assessments within specified targeted adultpopulations; designs, develops, delivers and evaluates a range of responsiveeducational curricula and training programs within fields of expertise.

Position requires: a) implementation and facilitation oftechnical, operational and/or specialty training events and programs; b)consultation and collaboration with individuals and departments on complextraining issues; c) assessment of training needs and objectives, and designingand developing responsive programs and initiatives; d) design and developmentof comprehensive training plans, curriculum and aids.

Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications

Successful completion of at least 60 college-level credit hours; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Must have Standardized Patient experience; at least threeyears or Tier 3 SP experience.

Additional Requirements1. Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. 2. Ability to determine training objectives3. Teaching and facilitation skills4. Ability to design, develop, implement and evaluate training plans, curricula and methodology.5. Skill in preparing instructional aids and plans
