BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF JOB:
We are seeking an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to lead our digital marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in direct-response digital advertising, branding, email marketing, social media, and user-generated content creation.
The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for managing the design and execution of digital campaigns that advance the university's mission. Primary responsibilities will include implementing successful strategic marketing plans to achieve enrollment and advancement goals while also serving as the University's social media community manager. The Digital Marketing Manager serves as the marketing department's technologist and should have significant experience with SEO, social media, analytics, performance marketing, and analytics.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The work of the Digital Marketing Manager changes every day: typical assignments include but are not limited to performance marketing, enrollment marketing, social media community management; ensuring that the GGU website and other communication vehicles are current and optimized; managing branding and other marketing projects, supporting university departments with the promotion of programs and events, and monitoring and reporting on marketing initiatives.
Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies across all channelsManage paid media campaigns, optimizing for KPIs and ROASPlan and implement enrollment email marketing initiatives, and support email campaign creation for other university departments, including, but not limited to: advancement and student servicesLead social media strategy and community management for all of the university's social media accounts, including expansion of our social media presence where appropriateOversee website content, ensuring it remains current, optimized, and aligned with marketing objectivesCreate and curate content for various digital channels and marketing materialsCollaborate with internal departments to ensure consistent messaging and brand complianceAnalyze campaign performance, provide data-driven insights, and report to executive leadershipStay up to date with digital marketing trends, best practices, and competitor activitiesManage projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budgetAssist in developing and socializing the go-to-market strategy for launching new programs/productsCoordinate all university outreach tactics, including webinars, events, direct mail, and other initiatives to drive enrollment and advancement goalsOther duties as assignedQualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education requirement:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field from an accredited university
Years of experience:
5-7 years of progressive professional experience in a marketing role
Knowledge of:
A strong understanding of current industry standards and techniques for digital content creation and management; knowledge of best practices for social media, SEO and online lead development strategies
Direct job-related requirements:
Extensive prior experience with Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Blackthorn, Monday.com, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, HootSuite, Canva, Microsoft Office
Skills and abilities:
Proven track record in paid media, email marketing, and social media managementExcellent written and verbal communication skills; Writing samples required at interview stageAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesHighly organized, detail-oriented work styleFamiliarity with tracking metrics through Google Analytics, mass email analytics, and other web, email, and social media monitoring toolsExperience using content management tools, including web, e-mail, and customer relationship systemsStrong interpersonal and communication skills as well as a highly collaborative nature; ability to facilitate work with a wide range of individuals and groups from diverse campus departmentsCommitment to promoting an inclusive community where differing points of view and experience are valued as mutual opportunities for learning
