What You'll Do:
Lead the coordination, management, and expansion of diverse aquatic programs for all age groups, promoting equity within communities.
Champion the recruitment, hiring, supervision, and coaching of a diverse & impactful aquatic staff team.
Develop & administer training and certification plans, ensuring compliance with established standards.
Organize and teach engaging youth & adult swim lessons.
Develop community-centric pool & staffing schedules to meet the evolving needs of our neighborhood.
What You Need:
Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Health, Physical Education, or a related field.Four (4) years of aquatic leadership experience; YMCA aquatics experience preferred.Current YMCA or Red Cross lifeguarding, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Basic First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration certifications required. YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor and/or Water Safety Instructor certifications preferred.Proven experience in supervision, recruitment, training, and staff development.Ability to effectively related to diverse groups, fostering inclusion across all social & economic backgrounds.
