Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Project Manager
to oversee
high voltage construction projects
from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in
electrical infrastructure , specifically
high voltage systems (69kV - 500kV) , and experience in managing the design, construction, and commissioning phases of transmission and distribution systems. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of safety and regulatory standards in the power industry.
Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage all phases of high voltage construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout.Collaborate with clients, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met within scope, timeline, and budget.Prepare detailed project plans, including milestones, timelines, cost estimates, risk management strategies, and resource allocation.Oversee contractor performance, ensuring all work complies with specifications, regulations (e.g., OSHA, NERC), and safety standards.Coordinate with design and engineering teams to ensure technical specifications and design criteria are adhered to.Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure successful project delivery, addressing any delays or issues promptly.Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and prepare financial reports.Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and manage permit acquisition as necessary.Conduct regular site visits to inspect work and ensure high standards of quality and safety.Lead project meetings, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and provide regular project updates to senior management.Manage and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, including scheduling delays, cost overruns, and technical challenges.Oversee commissioning and handover processes, ensuring all systems meet operational and safety standards.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Construction Management , or a related field (Master's degree or PMP certification preferred).5+ years of experience
in project management, specifically in high voltage transmission and distribution systems.Proven experience managing projects within the power or utility sectors, particularly involving
high voltage infrastructure (69kV and above) .In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and codes (e.g., NEC, NESC, IEEE).Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and best practices specific to high voltage projects.Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.Proficient in project management software (e.g.,
MS Project ,
Primavera P6 , or equivalent).Strong problem-solving abilities and a high degree of attention to detail.Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to travel to project sites as required.Preferred Qualifications:
PMP certification
or similar project management certification.Experience with
substation / T&D construction ,
power plant projects , or
renewable energy high voltage projects .Knowledge of
contract ne

vendor management .
