About Us:
Medstar is an experienced local ADA Paratransit and Non-Emergency Medical Transportation contracted provider, delivering safe and reliable rides since 1984. We provide several types of contracted transportation with wheelchair accessible vans, buses or sedans. Our services include non-emergency medical transportation, ADA paratransit, fixed route transportation, shuttle and commuting.
The Role:
As a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth coordination of transportation services for our clients. Your responsibilities will include:
Answer incoming calls.Assist callers in a positive and helpful manner.Assign incoming trips to the appropriate, most efficient driver.Determine billing and eligibility of clients needing to set up transportation.Communicate with clients and drivers in a professional, friendly, clear, and efficient manner.Review schedules and comment accordingly through the checklists provided.Respond to driver's texts promptly - no longer than 2-minute average wait time.Resolve all driver issues.Review all vital information with staff before handing it off.Communicate and coordinate with the Fleet Manager regarding vehicle services/repairs.Monitor the reservation inbox, as well as broker portals to ensure trips have been entered in a timely manner.Be able to find coverage and reassign trips when callout happens.Work with minimal supervision, once trained.Do other assigned tasks as neededRequirements:
Have excellent attendance and show reliability in all aspectsKnowledge in State, federal, DOT, and ADA regulations regarding transportationCustomer service experienceExcellent communication and written skillsProficiency in all necessary computer programs and dispatching softwareWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Google docsTyping speed of 40 WPMBilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not requiredBenefits:

Option 1: 8PM-6AM (Overnight Dispatcher)
Option 2: 12PM-8PM
