POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for census development, coordination of admissions to facility, and referral/resource relationship building. Promotes a positive image of Woodside Lutheran Home to the community and outside professionals. Provides accurate and timely communication to potential admissions, referral sources, and appropriate facility team members regarding census, admissions, and referrals.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Gathers pertinent referral and inquiry information and coordinates pre-admission process to include clinical assessments with identification of care needs, pharmaceutical requirements, durable medical needs, financial information, resident and responible party introductions with staff. Documents all necessary information in an accurate and timely manner.Ensures that professional, referral specific tours of facility are conducted promptly for potential residents, responsible parties, and referral sources.Responds immediately to inquiries and referrals. Maintains positive working relationship with external referral sources.Manages the inquiry process professionally within business objectives. Promptly obtains clinical and financial approvals and information prior to admission decision-making.Completes admission paperwork within 24 hours of admission.Complies with all HIPAA policies, procedures, and regulations and requirements. Uses and/or discloses only minimum amount of Protected Health Information necessary to complete assigned tasks.Explain policies, procedures, or services to potential referrals and new admissions using medical or administrative knowledge.Ensures 24 hour a day admission coverage and trains back up admission personnel on the inquiry, tour process, and completion of admission paperwork.Develops and implements a sales and marketing plan. Is involved in outside marketing/referral activities 70-80% of time.Maintains knowledge of community services and analyzes market place continuously. Completes and reports referral, admission, and marketing activity tracking as required.Collect and report data on topics such as referrals received, conversion to admission rates, referral sources, marketing tracking.Collaborates to develop and distribute newsletters, brochures, or other printed materials to share information with referrals, clinics, and the community.Performs physical activities including standing, lifting (up to 50 pounds unassisted), bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, twisting.Daily visits to hospitals, clinics, out of facility events to promote Woodside, visit potential admissions, and complete marketing responsibilities.Performs other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the residents and facility.Skills & Requirements

Education or experience to meet position requirements. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Experience :
Experience and ability to relate positively, effectively and professionally with residents, families, community, outside professionals, and facility staff. Needs to have a valid driver's license and ability to travel locally.
Computer Skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office products and ability to utilize facility and industry specific computer programs and tools including remote access, cellular phones, etc.
Certificates & Licenses
Valid Driver's License; licsnsure or certification appropriate to degree. Registered Nursing License preferred.
Other Requirements
Sales and marketing experience in long term care preferred; clinical background and/or understanding of medical terminology and conditions preferred. Well organized and able to complete responsibilities timely and communicate information clearly and professionally with colleagues. Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
