Your Role on the Team
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Care Operations, the Nurse Manager has 24/7 leadership responsibility for the clinical and administrative management functions related to patient placement, discharge, and throughput throughout the Medical Center. The manager will support the delivery of quality care, accelerate patient throughput, and increase overall operational efficiency. Identifies and resolves throughput barriers to maximize staff workload management and improve financial performance. Implements strategies, processes, and standards to ensure clinical operations support key organizational and departmental initiatives such as quality of care, patient safety, employee recruitment and retention, and patient satisfaction. Acts as the primary point of contact related to all aspects of patient throughput, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. Promotes collegial relationships between Clinical Care Operations and other departments or disciplines across the Medical Center and the community. Provides effective leadership to team members in areas including but not limited to Bed Placement, Transport and Lift Teams as well as the Discharge Lounge ensuring smooth communication and operations. Provides effective clinical support to various acute care units and participates on performance improvement projects. Serves as an effective role model and clinical resource to colleagues, staff, patients, and others.

Required Qualifications:Strong customer service orientation as well as written and oral communication skillsMinimum of 2 years recent clinical nursing experience in acute careMinimum 3 years recent nursing management experience in a healthcare delivery system, specifically in an inpatient/acute care settingKnowledge of Title 22, The Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements present in an acute care settingDemonstrated understanding of clinical service lines in an acute care settingComplete understanding of acuity levels for all patient populationsBachelor of Science, NursingAbility to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate timely and efficient patient admissions, discharges and transfers.Preferred Qualifications:
