I am reaching out to share a terrific Chief of Philanthropy ("Chief") position with a national nonprofit focused on improving the lives of students by empowering them with improved decision-making skills. The Chief will develop, launch and manage fundraising strategies to meet or exceed development goals. The position will also be responsible for expanding the donor base and diversifying funding sources. The Chief will be an active fundraiser, providing moves management for a portfolio of high level donors capable of giving 6+ figure gifts. This position will manage and mentor a team of four development professionals. This role currently operates on a hybrid schedule and is based in the Philadelphia area. Salary range gladly provided upon request.
Responsibilities:Oversee the organization's fundraising efforts, including development and implementation of fundraising and donor engagement strategiesDevelop strategies to diversify funding sources and increase the overall donor baseProvide moves management to a portfolio of high level major donors capable of giving 6- and 7-figure giftsEstablish metrics to evaluate fundraising efforts and report on progressUtilize events to engage with prospects and current donorsServe as a board liaison and collaborate closely with the Executive Director and Chair of the Board for Board of Directors fundraising effortsManage and mentor a development team of fourQualifications:
10+ years of relevant fundraising experience, including time in a leadership roleExcellent relationship building skills and demonstrated track record of securing 6+ figure giftsStrategic thinker with the ability to develop new strategies and approaches for fundraisingStrong written and verbal communication skillsEntrepreneurial mindset with a focus on generating resultsInterest or prior experience in a related topical area of education, behavioral science, or cognitive science is a plusAbility to travel as needed
