Job Summary:
Qualified Dispatcher candidates for this hourly position should have:High School Diploma or equivalent;At least two (2) years experience in office environment. Logistics or school bus experience a plus;CDL (or acquire within first 90 days of employment).Job Tasks for Dispatcher:
Primary contact person for transportation needs of those attending the Pine-Richland school district (approximately eighty (80) daily routes);Keep records and submit reports. This includes documentation for complaints, accidents, discipline, routing changes, etc.;Assist manager with billing, payroll, account payable/receivables, and month end requirements;Assist manager in implementing driver recruitment programs to ensure coverage of daily home to school routes and ensure sufficient substitute personnel;Assist manager in ensuring all drivers complete all necessary job related training and driver safety meetings;Assist in managing extra curricular and charter trips; ensure personal are assigned to these trips;Read and follow established School District contracts and assist with reporting to the district;Communications with drivers and the community (two way company radios and landlines);Willing and able to assist as a driver, when necessary;Be familiar with Federal, State and STA policies and assist in policy enforcement;Other tasks as may be assigned by Terminal Manager.A benefits package including medical benefits, life insurance, matching 401k plan, and paid time off is included to care for and improve our employees.
