Cath Lab Tech4x10 Days 7a-5:30p or 5x8 7:30a-4:00p as needed, on call (1 weekday, 1 weekend every 4-6 weeks, includes holidays)Start date: ASAPContract length: 13 weeksPossible extension: YesCall Required: 1 day through the week and 1 weekend every 4-6 weekends with holidaysWork Setting Experience Required: Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab, Interventional Cardiac Cath lab, Special Procedures; Participating in diagnostic and interventional cardiology along with endovascular peripheral intervention.Work Setting Experience Preferred: Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, Interventional RadiologySkills Required: Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures - Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult, Hemodynamic monitoring, IABP Placement/Removal, Impella insertion, Laser Assisted Procedures, Left heart catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA), Pulmonary Artery (PA) line insertion, Right heart catheterization, Rotablader athrectomy, Temporary Pacemaker; Equipment/Operation/Maintenance - PACS, Stocks supplies; Abdominal and Pelvic - Angioplasty, Embolization, Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filter placement, Stent placement; Vascular Studies/Procedures - Upper and Lower Extremity Angiography; Equipment and Devices - Siemens; Procedural Responsibilities - Accurate monitoring, Equipment set up, Prep access site, Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, Room circulator, Scrub- maintain sterile field, Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose); Professional Knowledge and Skills - Isolation Precautions, Use of Rapid Response teamThe Cath Lab Technologist in the state of WV must possess a RT license in order to run fluoro machines in the lab.Experience required: 1.5-2 yearsTravel experience: RequiredScrubs provided: YesEMR: CernerThe Cath Lab Technologist I using specific high-technology equipment and at the discretion of a qualified physician, performs endovascular procedures on patients leading to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and peripheral vascular disease. The cardiac cath lab technologist will learn to monitor patients’ hemodynamic status, document during procedures, and scrub during the endovascular procedures to assist the physician. The Cath Lab Technologist I maintains job and license requirements, attends mandatory in-services, staff meetings, and actively participates in self-education and completes all required competency assessments on time. Performs ACC requirements and other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:Medium Work: Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs with a maximum lifting of 50 lbs.SUBMISSION PROCESS:Job Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement: Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology.Minimum Experience Requirement: 1-2 years in Diagnostic Radiology preferred.Minimum License Requirement: Registered by the A.R.R.T., R.T.(R) is required.
