Arcadis is seeking an experienced
Project Construction Manager
to join our growing Construction Management Team in Palm Beach County! The initial assignment is an on-site role focused on heavy civil earth work projects in central Palm Beach County.
Our ideal candidate will become a member of our talented team of construction management professionals that focus on delivering outstanding client service, helping them program, plan, and deliver their infrastructure, building and engineering projects. This position includes supporting our management team on water and wastewater projects including those involving earth works and pipelines.
In this role, you will be working with our experienced project and construction managers to successfully deliver projects to our clients. We're looking for candidates that want to change the industry through determination, education, and leadership.
Role accountabilities:
The Project Construction Manager/Senior Inspection Representative will support construction management of public Design/Bid/Build, Design/Build, CMAR through all project phases: planning; design; preconstruction, construction, commissioning & validation.
You will observe and inspect construction work performed by contractors, performs punch list inspections, reviews drawings and specifications and other technical documents, prepare detailed daily activity and progress reports and participate in project schedule and contractor invoice reviews. Local travel required for project site work, client meetings, safety audits, construction oversight, etc.
Other responsibilities include:
Produce project progress reports and briefings for project stakeholders. Participate with our project teams in project coordination and monthly progress meetings. Support the development of meeting agendas and meeting minutes.Assist in the management of the project documents and communication through contract/document management software. Maintain quality assurance requirements and approach and monitor code compliance issues. Inspect and determine deviations from general compliance with Contract Documents; clearly and professionally inform the contractor of required corrections.Review submittals and other construction documents and recommends technical solutions. Monitor and document contractor resource utilization (labor, materials, and equipment) for field changes, and time and material work and assist with negotiation of basic field construction changes.Change order reviews during construction including validating cost estimates. Verify equipment and materials installation for payment purposes. Maintain Payment Quantity documentation.While performing daily inspections, inspector will be required to ensure Arcadis' project safety guidelines are being met. Establish a culture of health and safety on the project.Support the review of contractor's monthly payment applications with our project managers and perform mathematical calculations as necessary during inspection activities.Qualifications & Experience:

10 years of relevant experience.Experience in construction management or inspection of heavy civil infrastructure.Key Attributes:
The candidate for this role must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. We are looking for someone to have a positive and self-starter approach to delivering successful projects. This includes a strong desire to perform quality control inspections of the work in the field, be willing to travel between the office and project sites and travel to other Arcadis offices and project sites as needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint is a requirement.
Preferred Qualifications:
15 years of relevant experience.Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field.Some experience with Oracle Primavera P6, e-Builder, and Microsoft Project and familiarity with CPM scheduling is a plus.Experience with Davis-Bacon wage review and certification.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
