About The Role

The Director of Global Planning is responsible for leading activities related to demand planning, production planning, inventory control, and material planning within Spellman High Voltage Electronics. You will have significant authority in Strategic Planning, work cross-functionally to achieve organizational objectives and drive functional excellence and continuous improvement. You are a proven leader of senior leaders, inspiring teams to deliver best in class results. You are accountable for and lead multiple, highly complex global projects. You will lead Planning strategy & vision and drive execution to enable business value and productivity. Continuously improve planning processes to drive better business results. What You Will Do

Lead a global team of scheduling professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management.Develop and optimize planning processes: Raw materials, finished goods, subassembly stocking strategies, site-level production plans. All based on historical usage combined with forecast and firm demand.Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure that inventory, planning, and allocation processes are integrated and aligned with business goalsAnalyze historical data, trends, and future demands to forecast resource needs and potential scheduling challenges.Develop metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure scheduling efficiency and effectiveness.Improve Spellman ERP System Planning Operational maturityGuide and drive the development of roadmap, solutions and resources necessary to deliver on our customer commitmentsHire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively; take an active role in leading, mentoring and developing staff in accordance with business and cultural objectivesImplement and maintain operational processes and procedures; work with the planning and analytics team to ensure implementation of tools, applications and processes are metWhat You Need

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related quantitative disciplineAt least 10 years of work experience in the Supply Chain industryAt least 5 years of progressive experience leading ERP planning teams in a mulit-site environment, including forecast modeling, inventory modeling, orders, and supply management.Ability to identify opportunities to increase accuracy, optimize resources, and develop, recommend and implement solutionsProven leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively mentor, coach and lead a creative and diverse group of professionalsProficient in working cross functionally with teams from other disciplines especially Operations and Information TechnologyExperience modeling complex workflows and establishing well defined processes to support efficient order flowAbility to create and manage documentation of planning processes to drive consistency across multiple shifts and workcentersAbility to travel up to 25% of the timeGlobal end to end planning experience for Supply, Demand, ProductionStrong project management and problem-solving skillsExpertise on leading / driving change, and mentoring teams & peersExtensive experience in S&OP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning and Inventory Management and Materials ManagementPassion for driving continuous improvementPassion for developing and coaching teamsExpert knowledge and deployment of ERP planning toolsPreferred Characteristics

Advanced degree in Supply Chain, MBA, or related field preferredExperience in using Glovia and PowerBIAPICS Certified or equivalent certification

This position is based out of either Hauppauge, NY or Brownsville, TX. Relocation is available to either area as desired.

Our good faith estimates of the salary range for this role in:

Hauppauge, New York: $170,000 to $190,000

Brownsville, TX: $160,000 to $175,000

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a highly competitive benefits package.
