About the role
Betterment's mission is to empower people to do what's best for their money so that they can live better. As a Product Manager on our Custody team, you'll be responsible for executing against and helping to shape the product roadmap for a Custody platform that manages over $50 billion in client assets across three lines of business. You will also be accountable for ensuring the team's priorities fulfill the broker-dealer's multiple mandates:Enable Growth - We must enable our business lines to ship new revenue-generating products that delight our customers.Maximize Efficiency - We strive to make our software better and build automation to prevent mission-critical teams from doing repetitive, manual workflows.Minimize Risk - Our clients have trusted us with their savings and the durability of our systems need to reflect that responsibility.You will be expected to navigate multiple concurrent projects from a high level and able to also quickly dive into the weeds with engineers as needed to address technical, project-specific roadblocks. You'll need to roll up your sleeves and shoulder-to-shoulder with both highly technical and non-technical teams across the organization throughout the entire product development lifecycle. You'll need to prioritize effectively in order to ensure that our Custody team is delivering on the most important business objectives while also strengthening Betterment's foundation as a trusted financial institution.
This role is based out of our NYC office. Below we've reflected the base salary range we would offer for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Betterment's total compensation package for employees.
New York City: $140,000 - $165,000We offer a competitive equity package, health, dental and vision benefits, and a 401(k) offering with employer match as well as flexible PTO policy.
