We serve a diverse clientele including retail fueling stations, commercial and government fleets, and emergency power customers.
The Service Dispatcher is responsible for receiving customers calls and dispatching fuel service technicians. This critical role coordinates with the many departments to understand and respond to customer requests. Service dispatchers must remain calm under pressure, prioritize requests, communicate effectively, and dispatch fuel technicians for response/repairs. This role also interfaces with several key departments to ensure accurate and timely billing.
Job Duties:
Use excellent communication skills and professionalism to receive calls, discuss customer needs, obtain relevant information, and dispatch service technicians for response and resolution.Captures data in real time for service calls and communicates to stakeholders.Coordinates with customers on schedules, service needs, and provides follow up information.Dispatches technicians based on the type of call, priority, skill sets, and the geographic area.Coordinates with Service Manager to plan daily service calls and work activities to meet the customer needs.Considers work to be performed to identify potential safety hazards and either eliminates the hazard or reports the problem to manager for resolution prior to beginning work.Reports accidents or injuries to manager immediately.Generates reporting to improve response time and service scorecardMaintains a preventative maintenance schedule and project schedule to accommodate customer needs.Provide spreadsheet, profit and loss statements, and other reports when necessary.Requirements
Highschool Diploma or GED requiredAt least 2 years work experience in a dispatching roleAbility to speak on the telephone or two-way radio using the English language.Ability to type 45 words per minute.Ability to read and interpret documents such as warranty requirements and client specific billing requirements.Ability to read and write routine reports and correspondence using the English language.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, both whole numbers and fractions.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, reach with hand and arms, and type.Must be eligible to work in the United States.Must be able to meet company's employment requirements, which includes passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR, if driving for the companyPhysical Requirements: include occasional lifting/carrying of 10 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment.
