Responsibilities:The
Electrical Engineering Manager
responsible for leading and coordinating multiple tasks and projects, developing efficient processes, executing effective strategies, ensuring the timely completion of projects, and encouraging a positive work environment. In addition, you will take on design tasks for specific projects as a working engineer.
Salary:
Starting at $120,000-$160,000Hours:
Business hours - Monday-Friday, standard 40-hour work week with occasional OT.Direct Hire -
Permanent Position/Salary-ExemptTravel:
Less than 10%Job Description:Continually improve engineering standards and processesTechnical oversight of electrical manufacturing and testing requirementsDesign for manufacturability and work closely with manufacturing team for continual advancement of new ideas and process automationResponsible for engineering documentation controlsResearch and develop designs and productsDetermine the need for training and talent developmentDevelop engineering team performance evaluations and benchmarksOversee and manage quote reviewsHire required personnel and build teamsEnsure products have the support of upper managementProvide clear and concise instructions to engineering teamsCheck team's work for technical accuracyCoordinate work within the team and with other managersProject progress/timelines to handoff to manufacturingMonthly customer visits with sales repsJob Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Proven work experience as an Engineering Manager or similar roleProven experience (minimum of 5 years) Industrial Controls designProficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.Ability to program PLCs. HMIs, Controllers, and VFDsStrong understanding of UL508A and NFPA 79Analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving complex problemsCommunication skills for overseeing staff and working with other management personnelDetail-oriented with the ability to catch minor errors which can result in major problemsProficiency in advanced applied mathematicsOrganizational skills for keeping track of various budgets, employees, and schedules simultaneouslyRelevant training and/or certifications as an Engineering ManagerExperience in the ISO 9000 family of standards is desirable
