The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) is responsible for designing, implementing, updating, monitoring and advancing an effective enterprise-wide operational and regulatory compliance program. The position is accountable for overseeing responses to regulators and regulatory issues in collaboration with RHA's Legal and operational departments. The CCO reports directly to the CEO and maintains direct access to the compliance committee of the Board of Directors.Responsibilities:Serve as an advisor to RHA's senior management team on operational compliance and regulatory matters, providing advice, guidance and effective business-focused solutions.Ensures compliance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws, statutes and regulatory requirements.Maintains compliance with RHA's code of conduct, ethics and conflict of interest policies.Serve as an advisor to RHA's senior management team on operational compliance and regulatory matters, providing advice, guidance and effective business-focused solutions.Maintains an up-to-date working knowledge of Internal Controls, changing legislation and reporting requirements.Ensures compliance guidance is implemented, that action plans are promptly completed and that proper controls and testing are in place and effective.Monitors policies, procedures, material transactions and proposed transactions for purposes of avoiding impropriety or the appearance thereof.Provides and oversees training and awareness initiatives related to compliance issues and requirements.Responsible for the review of the quarterly Compliance committee presentation.Reviews audit findings and ensuring appropriate remedial action is taken.Protects against unethical or unlawful behavior by team members.Prepares the Compliance departments budgets.Performs all other duties as assigned.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance or related field required.Advanced degree (JD, MBA, MA/MS) highly preferred.Minimum of seven years' relevant experience as a senior compliance officer in a healthcare institution.Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills.Superior verbal and written skills.Experience with and ability to work effectively with regulators.Ability to work collaboratively, cross functionally and with individuals at all levels of the organization.Excellent organizational and project management skills.Excellent influencing, facilitation, relationship building and partnership skills.Ability to attract, retain, develop and mentor talent.Pre-employment screening:
