Summary
Enterprise Architect is responsible for the overall standards and direction of all enterprise architecture domains including Business, Application, Data, Technology, and Operations, ensuring it supports the business's needs and performance goals. The Enterprise Architect also participates in support of solution development, EA governance, and Enterprise Architecture planning processes across projects and engagements in a multi-agency environment, covering cross business domain verticals like HR, financials, education, marketing, end user services and more.
Key Responsibilities• Define and maintain client's enterprise architecture standards & IT strategy, while understanding & mapping business vision & challenges• Consult & Lead/Support the development and implementation of the IT Enterprise Architecture roadmap for clients• Translate business priorities into IT architecture requirements for each respective Enterprise Architecture domain - Business, Data, Technology• Define, document and maintain to-be domain architectures applying architecture guiding principles and depict them conceptually, logically as well physically across layers.• Augment architecture guiding principles and best practices ongoingly• Promotion of shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs and improve information flow.• Ensuring that individual projects do not duplicate functionality or diverge from each other and business and IT strategies.• Collaborate with domain architects to develop architecture roadmaps for all architecture domain and provide a consensus based enterprise solution that is scalable, adaptable and in synchronisation with ever-changing business needs.• Prior experience with architecting & designing, as well as implementing programs, platforms and services across Public sector service domain whether its health, education, infrastructure, financials and compliances will be preferred• Mentor budding Enterprise architects in the organisation as part of CoEs program.
Key Skills• 12+ years of experience in any of the architectural disciplines/domains - Web, Backend Server orchestrations & Integrations, EDI, Database & DW, Analytics etc.• Strong in Architecture Patterns and principals - SOLID, Gang of 4, Cloud-native, Integration patterns• Experienced with EA/Rationalization Tools - Sparx EA, LeanIX, Archimate, Visio or equivalent Toolsets & stencils for EA blueprinting.• Self-driven with strong room presence and presentation skills to steer conversations towards getting the desired outcomes and extract technical needs from stated/unstated business pain areas and scenarios• Good communication skills, both written and spoken - ability to bridge gap with leadership and business stakeholders and Technical specialists/SMEs and the ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand• Interpersonal and leadership skills covering collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills• Experienced in preparing for and facilitations of focused design and collaboration workshops• Strong Experience (4yrs+) in 1 or more of the upcoming/disruptive/cutting edge technology domain:
o IoT
o Mobile
o Cloud - covering flavours like hybrid and/or Native
o Big Data, BI and Data lake(s) & Warehouse(s)• Big picture thinking - Ability to see how various Architecture components within an Enterprise interact as a the whole• Diverse Tech Stack experience mixed with Java, .Net, Django and/or Open source solution and technology options.• Past project Experience or Knowledge in working with/setting up IT governance and operations and processes.• Past experience in conceptualizing creating Digital experiences and delivering IT Architecture strategies for medium to Big organisations• Past experience with Application portfolio rationalization, Enterprise mobility or Enterprise integration strategy is a plus• Knowledge & implementation iPaaS / ESB platforms will be important - e.g. Jitterbit, Web methods, Snaplogic, Mulesoft, ADF etc.• Automation experience in terms RPA driven business transformations as well as automation of development projects with CI/CD pipelines is big plus• Experienced in APIM and associated lifecycle best practices as well as API-First approach for development of REST API, SOA, MSA architectures.
Preferred/Addons/Cert.:• Knowledge of public sector funds management, citizen facing services program, their planning & spending, associated grants mgmt.. & financials, and their linkages to IT investment, budgeting and systems• Experience on running/being part of EA change review boards on change in past clients / organisations• Citizen and public facing services KPI modeling and adoption and satisfaction measurement and improvements• Certified on any of the FEA,TOGAF or Zachman EA frameworks.• Risk Management and assessment across data, citizen facing services with appropriate standards and security policies.
