We are currently recruiting for the position of:
CLOSING LEAD - HEAD CLERK - 3401 Oakdale Road, Modesto, CA 95355
The Closing Lead is an integral part of a highly motivated team focused on serving guests with an emphasis on the overall total store guest experience to consistently meet or exceed guest expectations.
The Closing Lead helps the store manager with the day-to-day operations of the grocery store and implements strategies to improve guest service, drive store sales, and increase profitability. This position ensures guest needs are met or exceeded, complaints are resolved promptly, and service is quick and efficient. In the absence of upper store management, the Closing Lead is in charge to maintain store appearance and product presentation to company standards as well as provides support to all team members and resolve guest and team members questions and concerns.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities :
• Provide guests with a remarkable shopping experience by demonstrating, training, and holding store associates accountable for excellent guest service
• Supervise and coach team members during assigned shift in the performance of their duties; provide performance comments to appropriate Manager or Lead and provide actionable feedback to encourage team member growth
• Assist with in-store OJT training program, and provide developmental opportunities for all team members
• Directly lead team members in the assigned area with focus on accountability and achieving high level of business performance outcomes
• Drive guest focus throughout the store, and assist with the execution and support of Guest Service programs
• Directly support the achievement of storewide sales goals; help compile, track and analyze sales and profitability data, and make recommendations in support of controlling expenses, achieving budgeted labor goals and maximizing profits
• Perform other duties assigned
Hiring pay range: $28.37 - 28.37
Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) :
• Excellent leadership/team building skills
• Strong communication (written and verbal)
• A wide range of product/ pricing knowledge, store layout, safe work/lifting practices, equipment operation, merchandising and others
• Learn and retail policies and procedures, to work within and promote a team environment, and the abilities to read, write and perform basic math calculations
• Adequate knowledge of computer systems
Education:
High School Diploma (or G.E.D.)
Experience
:
One year of Service Lead or Key Carrier experience or six months of Key Carrier and perimeter Manager experience
Other
:
Must be available to work a variety of required retail hours
Physical
:
Requires standing and other physical movements on a frequent basis. Requires lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance
